Crowned & Ready 2026 brought together children, families, stylists, volunteers, and supporters for a day of back-to-school confidence, care, and culturally affirming haircare. At The Apex Affect, we know that hair is never just hair. For many children, it shapes how they see themselves, how they're treated by others, and whether they walk into the classroom with confidence or insecurity.
Through our Crowned & Ready: Back-to-School Confidence & Care Fair, children received free haircuts, protective styles, grooming services, and essential hair care resources so they could begin the 2026 school year with dignity, pride, and the confidence to succeed.
That day of care continues to guide what comes next. We are working behind the scenes to prepare Crowned & Ready 2027 and sustain this community-rooted mission.
